Missing Boy Found After Four Years

0

The case of child kidnapping has risen over the years. Usually, most reported cases involve outsiders but in this case, he was found in his father’s house. Georgia police have rescued a boy who was missing for four years from behind a hidden panel in his father’s garage.

The boy, 13, was found at the Clayton County home of his father, Gregory Jean, 37. The boy was found hidden behind a secret panel in a closet in an insulation area in the house’s garage. His mother reported him missing four years ago.

Police arrested Jean and Samantha Joy Davis, 42, who was at the home when the boy was discovered.

Jean and Davis were charged with false imprisonment, cruelty to children, and obstruction of justice, according to ABC News’ Atlanta affiliate WSB-TV.

Police have also arrested three other minors who were at the house and acted on a tip they received at 2 a.m. Saturday morning suggesting the boy had been able to contact his mother, Clayton County police Sgt. Kevin Hughes told WSB-TV.

Police had visited the house late Friday night, but people at the home denied knowing anything about the child, police said, according to The Associated Press. When they returned early Saturday they found the boy because he was able to call his mother while officers were at the house, Hughes told the AP.

“While at the location during the second call, the victim was able to establish phone contact with his mother and she in turn passed on additional information to the officers on the scene,” Hughes said. “The victim was found behind a false wall within the residence.”

The boy, who has not been identified by police, went missing after visiting his father in 2010.

Here’s the book blurb to Acceptance: Into the darkness with its trailer

“There is that part of me that doesn’t want to think that we need to feel pain and to go into the darkness in order to see the light and to experience the beauty of life. There is another part of me that just wants to hide in the darkness, fearing what others will think of me when they see my own shame, the part of me that I unleashed so unexpectedly. The thought of those betrayals, those horrible blows to my trust, cracking the very core of my being, made this dark nightmare I now inhabited feel a little more welcoming. But I could still feel the cold weight of the knife in my hand, feel it sinking into Richard’s soft flesh. I had to wake. I had to know if my anger and rage had turned me into a monster. I had to know what those cracks had set free……”

Great books come with titles. When this book is been read and reviewed to be interesting, we say, “Great books come with GREAT titles.” I don’t know if that’s often true because we get taken away with how interesting the book is that we consciously (or unconsciously) hail the title. i’d be like, “Dude, have you read it, it’s an Amazing book.” During such conversations, i often passe the name around because i love the book. If you love a book, you love the title. But then, again, this is usually not true in a few cases, some cover designs are a bit elusive and indelicate. Readers would not want to open (click on) your book because its font or title is “not cool.” Learn it.

Apart from the book talk, a blog or book blog should have a good header-image. It could be on the right, center or the traditional left. A good banner (header-image) makes visitors remember the name/title of your blog and you could exchange your banner with other sites for traffic (more visitors).

Memoir: Theosagape – Coming To Reality

0
When I was a child life was easier. I saw life the way any child could see it, for if I should say, any child should know. It was all black and white to me. No other shades of colour of life were known to me; not gray, green, pink, yellow or even the famous red.
My thinking was patterned in the simplest manner. There was no time to recount grudges against anyone.Every pain was cried out. For crying came easier to me as a child. Like every other child, I cried to show my innocence, and cried louder to show my guilt. For a child, the highest point of proving my innocence is not swearing by God’s name or is it by taking any oath. No. None of that worked for me. It was to cry out my eyes.
I slept peacefully at night, leaving every hurt and grudge at the play ground. No insult was taken into the house from the play ground, for mother would tolerate no insult in her house.

My life as a child gave much respect to my elders. I wasted no time in greeting them. Even if Papa Ogoo passed me one million times, he must be greeted times two. For I knew that to keep silent at your passing elder means you have no upbringing. I forbade myself from being reminded to greet my elders.
I knew nothing. I was innocent. Life was simpler for me. Exaggeration was no big deal. Like every other child, you must give your account based on the number you so desire. To our elders around us, it is called lies or bloated truth. To us, the children we must exert our domination in telling the most accurate story. In telling our stories, we stand, raise our chest, and look at every face, daring anyone to challenge the truth in our story. No one cared about the original version, as far as you can pass the message across, despite the variations, we will know. We always know what you want to say.
Being a child meant I must have my own version of the story recounted. We knew nothing like accuracy in story telling for every story must bear our own mark of oratory. I could talk for centuries and not be exhausted. I was a child. The most my elders would do is to ask me to shut up. Why would they always ask me to shut up when I have much to say to the world?
As a child, numbers meant nothing to us. The higher number you can present, the better and much credible your information will be. We always knew that our elders’ ages are unutterable, yet we still try to imagine it in our small mind. Someone whose age should not be more than 20 could be 40 years to us. Why? He is bigger, he is older, and he must be respected.
Height meant everything to us. The taller you are the better for you to exert your age and domination. If you are tall and declare your age to be 11, we will accept it, until we see someone taller than you.
My life as a child made my world easier. There are explanations for everything. I did not worry myself about why this is like that or why that is like this. No. I was curious as to why why is why. Seeking my own answers, asking questions and formulating my own conclusion where no answer is available.
I lived a carefree life, singing, to every airplane that passes, with other children. Our faces lifted up to the sky, lungs filled with air and our mouth expelling the hopeful song to the airplane to bring bags or rice, beans, clothes, items I may not recall now, and above all, bags of money. Sometimes I just sing along with that gleeful feeling, other times I sing with hope. Hoping that the airplane would hear us and oblige me. Like a child, anything that is not in sight is not relevant, so does the airplane once it passes. Forgotten until another journeys our way.
I was taught to tell the truth always, even when I know saying it will get me some African correctional method. Truth must be told.
There were superstitions around us. As children, as free souls we were. No one crosses over me while I lay down, for this will make me short, it will mean that i cannot grow tall. You are allowed to call snakes at night because they will hear you and seek you out. Whenever I see what interests my stomach I wish that my right palm will itch me. That is the sign that money was coming our way. It may be through dash for errand done or my share from that given to us by either Uncle Dozie or Nelson. Everyone knew that to look at the mirror at night would surely bring a ghost to you. If you don’t want to turn into a hen or a tuber of yam, then do not pick the money or candy that is on the ground. Whatever food item that drops to the ground was meant for the devil, so don’t pick it. If someone is gossiping with your name or our mother is calling us, we sneeze. The last thing that must leave your plate is your fish or meat. For it is only the child that has no respect for the elders that eat as the elders does: eating our meat before the meal is finished.
Oh my life as a child. It was simple. I had no need to worry. I had no need to be saddled with so much responsibilities. For one thing was certain, I will be rich, I will have so many cars and will have houses all over Nigeria and the world.

This was my dream as a child. This was my life as a child. This was the life I could remember. Beautiful memories they all are. The good ones, the bad ones.
Reality is come upon me. To remind me that life is more than two shades of colour. For it is from these shades of colour that other ones were gotten. The older I got, I began to see the other shades of colour life has to paint my experiences with. Like the colour gray, my life had been gloomy, like the colour blue, I have seen peaceful life, like the colour green I am fruitful. Red shade of life made me realize that life is filled with dangers, life is filled with love.
There is so much to this quick reality that white and black is not enough to express. Responsibilities that must be taken, path that must be made. Part that I must play in this stage of life.
Although I may have lost most of the innocence bequeathed to me as that innocent child. I may never have those experience again, only their reflections alive and fleeting in my memories. I know one thing is certain. I know one reality that is eternal.
Life begins in white and ends in black. This is the utmost reality. For our eyes bears witness to this: most of the colour contained by our eyes is white and black, though other minor shades abound.
But don’t forget, life begins in white and ends in white. For the day breaks into white stream of light illuminating everywhere, so does that same day give up the whiteness of its light for the blackness of its night. When the day sleeps, night prowls in her cloak of blackness.
When night and day speaks, no other colour interferes. When life comes into the reality before us, no other exists. For life is either light or dark. Love or hate. Truth or lies. Innocent or corrupt.
Black. Or. White!

5 Qualities To Look Out For Before Choosing A Template For Your Book/Story Blog

0

If you are a writer, screenwriter, intern or you simply want to set up a personal blog to display your works, exchange your thoughts, convey your ideas or you simply want to write like i do, you’d want to think again because you won’t just create a free blog and leave it there for your contents to be shoved in everyday. If you do that, you would get less than a hundred or fewer visitors per day, and that is not encouraging, you are bound to stop posting along the way, because people do not leave comments or even visit, and it’s difficult to ask these visitors that visited yesterday what they think about your blog.
Then gradually, you’d be nowhere to be found online, except for the times you’d share the link to a post on Facebook. I know you like Facebook but how many readers come back to your site? So, in this post, i’d light a cold touch and let you walk by with your pen and a smile.

Before or after your blog is built either on WordPress or Google blogger, you should consider the design, structure, color, layout and other things because that is what makes up a template (if you don’t know that.)

Let’s examine the essential qualities that make up a great template.

Responsiveness: This particular blog’s template has been changed several times because I was all out on the web, searching for a template that will show all of its codes, contents and designs on a mobile phone, from the Facebook like button to the g+ button, if a template is not responsive, it’s usually all messed up and astray on mobile.
A good, responsive template should be able to fold to the width of any phone or device. Now, in the case of blogger, if you use the default template, it’s usually okay with the widths of your phone but you don’t get to see much apart from the texts (on a white or black background) and the header, in a few cases. A responsive template retains the way it is on Desktop view (computer) then adapts or fold s itself when on mobile or tablet, regardless the type of device.

So, when looking for a good “design” (template), check if it’s responsive. There are sites to test your template’s responsiveness on different device samples before you upload it to your blog. Check them out here: Responsivetest.netMatt Kersley or Os Temlates and so many others. you could use it to test your blog right away too

Layout: You should have seen it if you look around your blogger dashboard. The layout is key because there are templates that have single layouts that might not fit your needs while some have two or three, it depends on the one you want. For writers, i suggest a plain template with a maximum of two layouts on the right and left side of your blog (excluding post body). The image below is an example of layouts, choose wisely and make sure the template is responsive.

template, layout
a blogger layout edit

Support: We sometimes need help with a widget or code. This depends on the level of your knowledge with Html, Css and programming languages. You should be able to handle the set up and designs of a template, you should be able to edit, insert and remove from it, anytime it’s required. If the template you are using is something you can’t handle, get the one you can handle or pay someone to either teach you or do it for you. Then, again, there are some sites where you PURCHASE PREMIUM templates and they would handle the “support” for you. The prices of these templates varies but the common one out there is $20.

SEO: Seo is Search Engine Optimization. It is very important because it sends the way your website is organized, the keywords you use to attract attention, and other set of factors all combined to make your website “scannable” and easily indexible to search spiders. I’m saying, if you have a good seo, your site will be found on Big G (Google) and could make the front page as you continue to get more visitors. By default, most templates are search engine optimized. But you have to be sure the template you use is optimized.

Flexibility: You don’t need to know much about flexibility if you use blogger where everything has been built for you, including hosting but some widgets or plugins can slow down the time it takes for your site to load up on a browser.
Still on flexibility, it shouldn’t be difficult for you to edit a template or fix things here and there. If your blog or the platform is on a platform that doesn’t allow you make such changes, move to another. Blogger for example, lets you work on the layout and design of your site.

How To Obtain Your Zip/Postal Code For Mowe, Ibafo And Other Parts Of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Yeah, i know that feeling, believe me. Alright, don’t believe me but i know what it feels like to search for the zip or postal code of your area on Big G (Google) without a close result. Not even close. A zip code is same thing as postal code, the former is mostly used in the United States.

Now, if you stay anywhere around Lagos Ibadan expressway and you’re waiting for the “delivery guy” to come around that area, you’ll wait longer than you’re waiting to expect…(LOL) because it’s a rural area

If you want or need a postal code of anywhere in that area, simply follow these steps:

Go to this link. It’s the Nigerian postcode lookup system. The look up system has three major categories namely: Urban Location, Rural Location and Postal Facility.

There, you’d be able to choose the one you require. By default, it’s in Urban Location (densely populated area). You could change it to either Rural or postal facility by clicking on any of both. There’s the stressful part, you can’t find “Mowe” in the urban area and if you choose “postal facility, the closest is The Redemption Camp but we are Looking for Mowe Town and the other places around it. For Mowe, Click “Search by Rural Location.”

Women Hair loss Before And After Childbirth

0

Women face a lot in life and so do men. In the case of hair loss, every woman experiences hair loss at a point or another.  When hair loss occurs, a lot of women freak out because they think it’s an infection or the start out of a deadly disease. But it’s not, in fact, most of the causes of loss of hair in women is treatable. A woman could experiences hair loss in the following occasions or reasons

hairloss

CAUSES

Pregnancy

According to Health.com, Pregnancy is an example of the type of physical stress that can cause hair loss (that and hormones). Pregnancy-related hair loss is seen more commonly after your baby has been born. If you do experience hair loss, rest assured that your hair will grow back in a couple of
months.  Normally, you lose about 100 to 125 hairs a day, but after delivery, you may be losing about 500 a day. This can be very disturbing, but try not to worry too much — you won’t go bald!  According to babycenter.com, If the hair loss doesn’t seem to be slowing and you’re still losing lots of hair six or so months after delivery, check in with a dermatologist or your healthcare provider. It may be a sign that you’re low on iron, which is not entirely uncommon for new moms. Hair loss in pregnancy is very natural in women, which is why it’s number one on the women’s corner… for women.

Physical Stress

Any kind of physical trauma—surgery, a car accident, or a severe illness, even the flu—can cause temporary hair loss. Hair loss often becomes noticeable three-to-six months after the trauma. Sudden weight loss is a form of physical trauma that can result in thinning hair. This could happen even if the weight loss is ultimately good for you. It’s possible that the weight loss itself is stressing your body or that not eating right can result in vitamin or mineral deficiencies. The good news is that hair will start growing back as your body recovers and in the case of weight loss, the hair will grow back around six months

Emotional stress

According to health.com, Emotional stress is less likely to cause hair loss than physical stress, but it can happen, for instance, in the case of divorce, after the death of a loved one, or while caring for an aging parent. More often, though, emotional stress won’t actually precipitate the hair loss. It will exacerbate a problem that’s already there. What to do: As with hair loss due to physical stress, this shedding will eventually abate. While it’s not known if reducing stress can help your hair, it can’t hurt either. Take steps to combat stress and anxiety, like getting more exercise, trying talk therapy, or getting more support if you need it.

Heredity

Female-pattern hair loss, called androgenic or androgenetic alopecia, is basically the female version of male pattern baldness. “If you come from a family where women started to have hair loss at a certain age, then you might be more prone to it but there are drugs and creams that could be used to improve and grow hair

Overstyling

Vigorous styling and hair treatments over the years can cause your hair to fall out. Examples of extreme styling include tight braids, hair weaves or corn rows as well as chemical relaxers to straighten your hair, hot-oil treatments or any kind of harsh chemical or high heat. Because these practices can actually affect the hair root, your hair might not grow back. In addition to avoiding these styles and treatments, the American Academy of Dermatology recommends using conditioner after every shampoo, letting your hair air dry, limiting the amount of time the curling iron comes in contact with your hair and using heat-driven products no more than once a week.

hairloss in women

Lupus

Overzealous immune cells attack the hair. Unfortunately, hair loss of this type is “scarring,” meaning the hair will not grow back, says Dr. a Hammonds via health.com. If the hair loss is mild, you might want to try a new hairstyle to camouflage the damage. Short hair, for instance, is stronger than long hair and may hide bald patches better.

Trichotillomania

Trichotillomania, classified as an “impulse control disorder,” causes people to compulsively pull their hair out. “It’s sort of like a tic, the person is constantly playing and pulling their hair,” says Dr. Glashofer. Unfortunately, this constant playing and pulling can actually strip your head of its natural protection: hair. Trichotillomania often begins before the age of 17 and is four times as common in women as in men.

Chemotherapy

Some of the drugs used to beat back cancer unfortunately can also cause your hair to fall out.

Other causes of Hairloss in women are:

Too much vitamin A
Vitamin B deficiency
Lack of protein
Anemia
Dramatic weight loss
Anabolic steroids
Aging
Birth control pills
Some treatments used to cure mycotic infections can cause massive hair loss
Steroids and acne medications

DIAGNOSIS

The two common diagnoses is the Pull and Pluck test

The pluck test is conducted by pulling hair out “by the roots”. The root of the plucked hair is examined under a microscope to determine the phase of growth, and is used to diagnose a defect of telogen, anagen, or systemic disease.

The pull test helps to evaluate diffuse scalp hair loss. Gentle traction is exerted on a group of hairs (about 40–60) on three different areas of the scalp. The number of extracted hairs is counted and examined under a microscope. Normally, fewer than three hairs per area should come out with each pull. If more than ten hairs are obtained, the pull test is considered positive.

Solutions

If you visit a doctor, there are treatments for certain hair loss indications. But in the case where there are no treatment, you could go for a surgery or hide the hair loss. Hiding hair loss is very common among women and there are tons of ways to do it, depending on where it occurs.

Conclusion

A woman will never go bald if she loses hair after pregnancy. She’ll just need time to rest.  If hair loss occurs in a young man with no family history, drug use could be the cause. Hair loss does not make a woman  evil or inferior, so she should be well taken care of by her husband. After all, hair loss before or after pregnancy is not another infectious disease.

I love writing. It’s weird, i know. Wait, what’s weird? What’s weird about writing? Well, i had an interaction with a friend at a cafe once and he told me i can never make money from writing. I believed him and i didn’t because i didn’t try. That happened before Steve Job’s death in 2011.
Two years later, I was in another cafe with my own laptop ( which was given to me by a Ceo i wrote for. I thought he borrowed it to me at first…LOL ) with some sticky notes on the right side of its screen (reminders) while i searched the web for “ways to make money online.”(That was before my first movie).
Now, the secret to my making money online, building a blog from scratch, monetizing and starting all that “great tutorials and posts” you leave comments on today is attributed to Nigerian bloggers and Indians (i love Indians and Indonesians) and… let’s just come back home.
While i was hustling for money online. Some Indelible Nigerian blogs really, really did the heavy lifting for me. I didn’t have to write the codes from scratch, they already put it there. I Just copied and and pasted the codes and they worked. I know you love copying and pasting, Don’t do it for contents. No one will write about you in retrospect if you copy contents.
Anyways, the Ceo of one of Nigeria’s oldest blogs. Let’s do that again, the Ceo of one of Nigeria’s most unique (ogbonge) blogs, Jide Ogunsanya needs your vote here.
