A Battle Creek woman has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for producing child pornography.
Lori Ann Roth, 53, also was ordered to pay $25,000 in fines and spent 10 years on supervised release after completing her prison sentence. U.S. Attorney Patrick Miles announced the sentencing Tuesday in Grand Rapids.

Roth pleaded guilty in November to producing pornography of a child younger than 12. A co-defendant, Brandon Schroth, 41, described as a serial child molester, was sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty in 2012 in federal court in California to 12 counts of producing child pornography and aggravated sexual abuse of various children.

As part of his plea, he provided information to law enforcement that led to the identification and prosecution of Roth.

  1. I don't know why people do things like this! Why won't they let children enjoy their innocence and childhood for the short period of time it lasts! I have been an adult for decades and sometimes I wish I could rewind the clock to the lovely days of oblivion!
